A King Came Down

A King came down and left His crown

 And was born in Bethlehem

He left His home, gave up His throne

 And died to ransom men

Alle alleluia, the King in a manger lay

Alle alleluia, the King asleep on the hay

While the city slept, the shepherds kept

A watch o'er their flock that night

The heavens rang as angels sang

 And made the hillsides bright

Alle alleluia, the King in a manger lay

Alle alleluia, the King asleep on the hay

Alle alleluia, the King asleep on the hay
