The Testimonies to the Church are really love letters from Jesus Christ to His bride, the Remnant Church, the help them be ready for the Blessed Hope.

Notice what Ellen White said in the Introduction to what we now call Volume 2 of the Testimonies:

"I had many personal testimonies on hand, some of which are given in the following pages. And I know of no better way to present my views of general dangers and errors, and the duty of all who love God and keep His commandments, than by giving these testimonies. Perhaps there is no more direct and forcible way of presenting what the Lord has shown me." 2T 9.1

The 4,739 pages found in these nine volumes contain valuable instructions for the church today.

We should read them "again and again"...

"The volumes of Spirit of Prophecy, and also the Testimonies, should be introduced into every Sabbathkeeping family, and the brethren should know their value and be urged to read them... They should be in the library of every family and read again and again. Let them be kept where they can be read by many, and let them be worn out in being read by all the neighbors." 4T 390.3
