Title: The Final Call (Part 4): The Ultimate Identity Crisis

We live in an age of identity crisis. The world is obsessed with questions like "Who am I?" and "What is my truth?" But the First Angel’s message cuts through the confusion with a simple, grounding reality: You are a created being.

The final call of the First Angel is not just a command to attend church; it is a call to acknowledge your origin.

Bible students will notice something profound in the angel’s words. When he says, "Worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea..." he is almost directly quoting the Fourth Commandment (Exodus 20:11).

Why does this matter? Because in the final days of earth's history, the central conflict is about Authority.

The Beast claims the authority to change "times and laws" (Daniel 7:25).

The Creator stakes His authority on the fact that He made us.

The Sabbath is not just a day off; it is the Seal of the Creator’s Authority. It is the weekly reminder that we did not evolve from slime, nor are we accidents of the universe. We are hand-crafted by a loving God.

Ellen White (the Spirit of Prophecy) sheds light on why this specific part of the message is the "Final Test." She explains that as the end approaches, the world will largely reject the biblical account of Creation.

She writes in The Great Controversy:

"The Sabbath will be the great test of loyalty, for it is the point of truth especially controverted. When the final test shall be brought, then the line of distinction will be drawn between those who serve God and those who serve Him not."

The First Angel calls us back to the Sabbath because it is the antidote to false worship. You cannot worship the Beast (a man-made system) if you are truly worshiping the Creator on His holy day.

The structure of this message is clear:

The Cause: We acknowledge God as our Maker by keeping the Sabbath holy.

The Effect: We are insulated against the identity crisis of the world. We know who we are (children of God) and where we are going.

The Promise: Those who honor the Creator will be honored by Him.

The First Angel’s message is a complete package for the end times.

The Everlasting Gospel gives us the power to stand.

Giving Glory (Health Reform) gives us the clear mind to choose.

Worshiping the Creator (Sabbath) gives us the sign of our loyalty.

As the world grows darker, the light of the Creator shines brighter. The question is not just "Do you believe in God?" but "Do you worship the One who made you?"
